Koehler vs. Sullivan? Run Pat! Run!

I was hanging out at one of my favorite bars last night, Kelleher's. Yeah, I know, it's obvious, quite clean and classy, type of place you can take the grandparents when they visit from out of town. I prefer neighborhood dives but, for finding out what's going on in local politics, Kelleher's is The Place.

Even the bartenders can tell you who is considered next up to bat. Retiring George Shadid may face wishing well to two good friends. Koehler (Who no how, no friggin way will win) and Kelleher's owner, Patrick Sullivan taking up battle for Republicans. Lord have mercy, the GOP has actually come up with someone who can win. My guess, if Sullivan goes for it, he will wipe the floor with Koehler.

Problem. This is all guess and rumor as I can't find anyone who has signed a petition for Pat Sullivan. Even the best bartenders can be wrong, but my spy says Pat has an extra twinkle in his eye and his walk has a bit more pep than usual. It seems that Pat often finds himself close to jumping into the political ring, but runs back to his very popular bar at the last minute. Hey, Pat! They have Harps in Springfield too. Maybe you can get Aaron to buy the first round. Do Apostolic's drink? I don't think so... Well, maybe you can get him to buy you a rootbeer float or something.

Polly predictions. Schock v. Spears = Schock winner

Koeher v. Sullivan= Sullivan winner

*Sigh* Sane, smart Republicans taking back Springfield. Starting to feel like an early Christmas.

I don't think your little Aaron can beat Spears.

Spears by a hair.

Who the heck is Pat Sullivan... and why should anyone vote for him? Just because he's NOT Dave Koehler?

I think Schock will beat Spears rather handily (5-10%), simply because most folks won't vote for a guy based on their willingness to buy new Reeboks from him. Spears may return calls, and be a right friendly guy, but listening to his "speech" when he jumped into the race was akin to listening to fingernails on the chalkboard for a few days.

Storm, Which Irish drunk are you referring to? Sullivan or Spears?
