And the PollyPeoria Golden Cockroach Award Goes To.... Chase Ingersoll (of course)

Chase Ingersoll has applied for a liquor license for the restaurant attached to the Grandview Hotel which he allegedly owns. As you probably know, the Grandview Hotel is now closed after it was declared -and numerous Judges concurred- a chronic nuisance.

Ingersoll has lost every court battle on the matter. Chase requested and was even granted a brand new Judge to hear his cause. The new Judge also found Ingersoll's claims/whining to be without merit. This makes four, maybe even five Judges who have basically told Chase Ingersoll he has no case.

The new tactic? Apply for a liquor license Ingersoll knows full well the City Council will never approve. Why? To launch yet another bogus, annoying lawsuit to consume City legal resources and time.

Village Idiot. No, an idiot would not be able to be so successful in sucking up the attention of Judges, lawyers, and media. It's sad that Ingersoll doesn't use his brains for something productive.

Ghandi? No, Ghandi was a real lawyer.

Jedi Warrior? In Chase's dreams, maybe.

Peoria's biggest, most annoying parasite? Yup.

Cockroaches are easier to get rid of than this guy.

So now he's a cockroach because he wants a liquor license? Polly, here's what is goign to happen. There will be a routine investigation. If Chase and the structure qualifies, there will be a recomendation from staff. The Liquor commission can vote any way it wants and so can the council. remember, that a denial of a liquor license to any establishment that otherwise qualifies can end up in court.

Will Chase qualify? I have no friggin' idea.

You will find members of the city council and city commissions who don't bade their decisions on law, but on politics.

Oh, have no doubt, I believe Chase will likely make money off this deal. The savior who buying Junction City isn't going to want his investment and plans for a european market/art fair jepordized by a crummy No-Tell Motel. Watch for Jain and Ingersoll to fight more vehemently over who owns the property now.

The fact that the property has legally been declared a chronic nuisance (regardless of whether or not Ingersoll owns it) makes the validity of a liquor license moot.

I don't think Mannning has approved a liquor license yet for the Third District. I remember reading that the old Bee Grocery Market was going to be a liquor store until Manning heard about it. Council generally does not appove any liquor license the District Rep or surrounding neighborhood strongly opposes. Count on both to happen in this case.

A seven year old has a better chance of getting a license to sell crack on a corner than Ingersoll does at the restaurant attatched to the hotel.

Moreover, it seems that Ingersoll hasn't done much more than have Grandview Hotel cleaned - oh, and offer free coffee. No major renovations have taken place. I'm thinking Chase lacks the capital to do anything substantial. I doubt he has the means to open a bar/restaurant either.

I believe Chase is just looking for another opportunity to show off his lack of legal ability to another judge and the media. He also gets his jollies by sucking up City resources and time.

Clearly, Chase gets off being annoying. Why can't he just blog like the rest of us instead of punishing innocent taxpayers?

What I don't understand is Chase says he got rid of the addicts and alcoholics yet now wants to serve liquor. Hmmmmmm.

anonymous,
Maybe everyone who drinks or is "served liquor" is NOT an alcoholic ! or an addict ! Hmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Chase knows why this should be a no-no.

Polly, are you new in town? Everyone KNOWS that Chase is parasite. Has been for years and years. When you give him "awards" like this or commentary, positive or negative, you give the roach what he wants... ATTENTION. Attention feeds the roach and it gets bigger and bigger and harder to exterminate.

Chase isn't trying to help anyone, especially the downtrodden. If he had the money to make the Grandview half way nice to attract guests he would have already.

Chase only has the means to run a dump and only folks who can afford a dump will stay there. No need to point out the obvious.

Duh, Polly.

Gary Sandberg: Maybe everyone who drinks or is "served liquor" is NOT an alcoholic ! or an addict!

Might very well be true, but I doubt you have any personal knowlege regarding that line of logic.

..all that aside, the fact remains that your a liar, a two faced wimp that ran off to CA when you knew the crap came down and I know for a FACT that your supposed "ownership" of this property will be ending very soon. Hence, the whole mess will be a "MOOT" point when your ass is out in the street where you belong right along with everyone else you've screwed in this deal! You get back what you put out Chase..

Gosh Chase, I don't know why someone would want to remain anonymous when commenting about you. It's not like you would do something horrid and vile by spreading malicious untruths of being a cross dresser, a drunk driver, a child molester, a racist, having an extra marital affair, etc. Why, you are just a paragon of maturity and good grace. I'm sure the whole town would agree... Oh, that's right, they wouldn't.

Cockroach is right. Someone call Orkin.

So you don't mistake this with another group's award read Parkdale Tenants Association which is a group that copied this and the Lord of the Slums from an Oregon tenant group and is run by homeowners who use the tenants for personal profit.

Is this asshole still in Peoria? What a moron. I guess that's from being raised by a lesbian Mom. Not that there's anything wrong with lesbians, only the smegma breath reprobates they bear. WHAT A SCHMUCK.
