She was very beautiful. As a man, however, I can say that there are literally billions of women in the past, present, and future, in every country, every region, and every town who are/were equally beautiful. The problem is that we tend to be trained by our media to only recognise those who fit the current definition of beauty... and to think that celebrities are more beautiful than "ordinary people". Look around. There are Jennifer Annistons and George Clooneys all around us.
Grace Kelly in Rear Window is the hottest woman I've ever seen, on film or in real life.
And as a plus, it's one of the best movies ever made.
